Description
The Ultrasonic Distance Measure UDM-1 system measures the distance between the film plane/sensor and the subject by sending out ultrasonic pulses and measuring the time they take to return. It is compatible with all cameras.
The measuring field can be adjusted via the display module supplied in the pack. This makes it possible to exclude objects that are unnecessary for the shot and avoids confusion in the display of values.
The UDM-1 is supplied with a sensor module and a display module that shows the values on an anti-glare screen. When used with the ALEXA Plus, Studio or the UMC-4, the measured distance will be instantly displayed on the WCU-4 controller.
The UDM-1 also allows the ALEXA Plus, Studio or UMC-4 to switch to the automatic focus tracking function.
