Description
The Tiffen 4 x 5.65 Black Satin filter can be applied to deliberately reduce the appearance of imperfections and wrinkles while providing an intentional warming effect with graininess across the whole image.
This can be useful for creating a more flattering result for a subject, as highlights are softened, contrast is reduced and textures have a smoother appearance.
In addition, halation is created around the highlights, which can further improve the appearance of a subject or produce a desired effect while maintaining overall sharpness.
This filter is made from water-white glass for increased clarity as well as colour fidelity. It is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. Softens contrast and reflections. Reduces the appearance of imperfections and wrinkles. Provides a smoother appearance of textures while maintaining overall sharpness. Creates a halo effect around reflections. Intentional warming effect with graininess across the whole image. Built with water-white glass for optical clarity. Padded pouch included for storage and transport.
