Schneider Hollywood Black Magic combines the best effects of the HD Classic Soft with the Black Frost filter: bright areas are subtly diffused without affecting the richness of the blacks and the colours.
The HD Classic Soft is often used to smooth out imperfections in a face, while the Black Frost softens the video image and gives a “cinema” look by reducing reflections and contrast, but without lifting the dark areas.
The Schneider Hollywood Black Magic 4 x 5.65 inch filter can be used to reduce imperfections and wrinkles. This can be useful for creating a sharper image of a subject while the contrast of the mid-tones is softened. In addition, a glow effect is created around highlights, which can further improve the appearance of a subject or produce a desired effect while maintaining overall sharpness.
