Studio In the studio, the Sumo 19" is an affordable and incredibly powerful HDR monitor. With a 10-stop dynamic range, 10-bit processing and X-Rite calibration, it will accept Log, PQ or HLG signals from your grading software. For the first time, your monitor is HDR-compatible and has a large recording capacity. The ATOMOS Sumo 19" monitor not only provides a high-quality preview, but can also record slideshows, proxies or in 4Kp60. Robust construction The aluminium alloy chassis with integrated frame houses ten mounting points, a VESA mount at the rear and a bracket included for various mounting configurations. In addition to the XLR connections for power and balanced audio, you will find a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack and built-in speakers. The optional mounting plates connect Dual V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries, which work in tandem with the continuous power system. This allows the batteries to be hot-swapped so that you are never without power. Quad SDI and HDMI 2.0 input / output Connect any SDI or HDMI device to your ATOMOS Sumo 19" recorder. The HDMI 2.0 port supports up to 4Kp60 input / output with the latest Open Atomos protocol, which supports HDR automation, including the import of camera settings. There is also support for Genlock and LTC timecode. Professional recording 12-bit Raw, 10-bit ProRes / DNxHR up to 4Kp60 Capture RAW output from Sony FS5 / FS7 / FS700, Canon C300MKII / C500 or Panasonic Varicam LT camera bodies over SDI at up to 12-bit 4Kp30 as CDNG, or 10-bit Apple ProRes / Avid DNxHR at up to 4Kp60 / 2Kp240, depending on the camera's capability. The processing power of the ATOMOS Sumo 19" recorder preserves image quality straight from the sensor, with data rates of up to 3.2 Gbps. Monitor and recorder Eliminate the need for a separate audio recorder by using the XLR connections to connect and power external microphones for balanced analogue sound, with dedicated meters and settings for image delay and gain. The 48V phantom microphones or the amplitude of the sound are synchronised for the most advanced audio functionality. There is also a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack and built-in speakers for instant immersive analysis with clients or a production crew. Outdoor shooting The extremely bright 1200nit display lets you use the ATOMOS Sumo recorder with precision, even outdoors. The simplicity of AtomOS means that all it takes is a touch of the screen to change focus, the 2:1/1:1 zoom, and lots of other settings. Calibrating for accurate colour Like all high-end monitors, Sumo also has optional calibration to compensate for brightness drift. Sumo's calibration input lets you use X-Rite's i1DisplayPro to always ensure that HDR and Rec709 monitoring is accurate.1
