Description
Tiffen Glimmerglass diffusion filter, grade 1, screwing onto a lens with a 82 mm thread: it adds a soft, subtle halo around light sources in frame and specular highlights, while keeping the image looking sharp.
It lowers contrast, smooths the transition into the shadows and softens skin blemishes in close-up, while muting bright colours. Grade 1 gives a stronger effect than grades 1/8 to 1/2, with the halo kept under control.
